Workflow
Cogent Workflow Automation increases efficiencies and accuracy by removing subjectivity and manual interventions, and establishing specific rules that are enforced by the software. The rules engine keeps the right accounts in front of the right users, at the right time. So accounts that are performing well move along without the need for anyone to work them - allowing your staff to focus on the exceptions in a timely fashion.
At the heart of the Cogent rules engine are over 750 conditions and 150 actions you can use to define evaluations and perform processes that will ensure accounts are handled consistently - while reducing the risk of human error and delay. Workflow automation can even be introduced at any point during your business processes, including:
- Immediately upon import of a new claim, if the statute of limitation expires within 45 days
- 35 days after the debtor is served
- Seven days before a hearing is scheduled
- Upon entry of a payment plan arrangement, if the account is unassigned
- When an asset is found, if a judgment has been entered and the claim balance is more than $750
Workflow Automation is accomplished by building tasks that evaluate information about the claim, and is usually based on an event that recently occurred. The rules engine then determines the next logical action(s) to be taken. Below is an example of a typical task that would be initiated once a the user enters Service Results:
Task to be executed when Service Results are entered:
Rule: Service Result is Good Service (Rule passes if all of these conditions are true)
Service result is one of these served
Actions Set: Review Good Service
Cancel Check Service Results
