BSI eSolutions Announce the Release of COGENT 2.3.0

The latest release of COGENT delivers the most innovative set of tools available for automating internal processes, increasing productivity and empowering organizations to succeed in today's collections and litigation environment.

COGENT 2.3.0 contains a long list of enhancements to the core product code designed to improve the overall profitability of their users. Some highlights from the release include additional automation of debtor payment plans, new automated business rule logic surrounding the active management of statute of limitation calculations and the release of several new interfaces to the Experian suite of data products.

The difficult economic situation many consumers are experiencing is impacting how collection organizations are approaching collecting from them. COGENT supports these transitions by providing management teams with the analytical insight into their data required to implement and measure the effectiveness of workflow strategies. "With the new enhancements included in this release BSI seeks to continue to raise the standard for inventory management controls found in collection and litigation software," says Tom Crotty President and CEO. "Along with the workflow management tools previously available in COGENT, our users will be well positioned to succeed in this challenging and competitive environment."

Version 2.3.0 was initially delivered in March, 2009 and will be distributed to the remaining COGENT user base through the month of April.
BSI eSolutions Announce the Release of COGENT Enterprise Forwarding Manager

This new add-on solution brings intelligence and automation to the complex and time consuming process of managing large volumes of outsourced claims over a network of outside Attorney Firms and Agency Partners.

"The objective of EFM" says Tom Crotty BSI's President and CEO "is to improve the efficiency of transitioning claim inventory to the appropriate outside agencies and attorney firms and enabling an organization to be more proactive and consistent with the management of their outsourced inventory of accounts".

With COGENT's Enterprise Forwarding Manager Debt Purchasers and Original Creditors are able to create rules that define the profiles of accounts that should be outsourced to either an outside attorney firm or collection agency. These rules are then used by EFM to systematically identify which claims within the organization's inventory of accounts are eligible to be forwarded. Assignments are made automatically to the organization's receiver partners based on parameters that identify geographical coverage areas, and a variety of characteristics of claims that should be placed with each receiver. COGENT's EFM also leverages the extensive inventory management controls found in the core COGENT application and applies that intelligence to the outsourced claims.

Placements and update files are generated on demand or produced on a pre-defined schedule in a variety of formats. Using BSI's standard forwarding workflow and COGENT's internal workflow management tools, an organization can maintain a workflow that is enforced exclusively on their outsourced claims separate from the workflow related to claims worked internally. Along with the suite of analytical tools available to be leveraged on COGENT's open Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database, COGENT's Enterprise Forwarding Manager automates the forwarding process and provides an organization with the data and tools needed to effectively manage their outsourced inventory and identify which receivers are performing best for them.

BSI eSolution Announces its Cogent™ Legal and Agency Collection Software to be Tightly Integrated with Experian

Software integration helps bring strong value benefits to customers

Baltimore, MD - BSI eSolution, a leading provider of collection management solutions for the debt management industry, today announced that it is working with Experian to bring new, measurable value to their CogentTM legal collection clients.

Cogent provides the industry's leading Legal Collection Case Management software. Cogent reinforces the process automation and inventory management principles they already bring to legal collections with the integration of products such as Experian's Collection TriggersSM and Collection AdvantageSM,.

"Experian is pleased to be collaborating with Cogent to enhance their current collection tools and services," said Dan Buell, vice president, Experian. "By incorporating Experian's robust suite of collection services into Cogent's powerful platform, we see a major benefit to the fast-paced legal collections industry, where finding critical information in a timely manner is vital."

Through the integration, which is now fully complete, the product will offer clients the ability to automatically schedule data requests and easily import and store data results from each account into a convenient XML format. Once the data is imported, Cogent is able to interrogate the data codes returned from Experian and automatically schedule the next task and action that should occur on an account based on the new information received. Customers will now be able to have their collection software immediately route accounts to the appropriate staff member with an instruction on how to proceed based on new employment, financing, bankruptcy and other Trigger results that are returned from Experian and recognized by Cogent. This allows an organization to receive new data on their accounts more quickly and react faster once new information is received on the accounts most likely to pay. Finally all Experian data returned to Cogent is easily viewed in a friendly Style Sheet stored on each account.

"Cogent's ability to store the Experian data returned in XML and display the data in user friendly style sheets plus automatically schedule the appropriate tasks based on the type of data returned provides our clients a tremendous advantage over their competition and real boost to their bottom line," says Tom Crotty President and CEO.
