Cogent's new products and technologies evolved from its management teams' almost 60-year history of engineering software solutions and executive management experience.

Thomas Crotty, President and CEO, is a seasoned business and technology management expert with experience with several fortune 1000 companies. John Yeilding, Vice President, Business Intelligence and Client Management, is an expert in software design, process re-engineering and product development. Cogent's management team experience in business operations, strategic planning, and the information technology field is extensive with Corporations such as GEICO Insurance, Fannie Mae, US Airlines, Hertz, Commercial Financial Services and Creditrust where they have held the titles of Office of the President, VP Information Systems, CIO and others.

Thomas Crotty

President & Chief Executive Officer

In addition to providing overall management leadership and direction, Mr. Crotty is responsible for research development activities and strategic alliances. He is an expert in debt collections and provides support for sales efforts of the Company.

Mr. Crotty has over 11 years experience within the Debt Industry. After joining Commercial Financial Services as CIO in 1997, he eventually ran the company (Office of the President) managing a $700 million Company with 3800 employees through Chapter 11 bankruptcy. He leveraged economic and technology skills to restructure business processes with a strong focus on a sound business model, economic structure, reduced costs, increased productivity and implementing fact based business decision making.

Prior to entering the debt collection industry, his experiences centered on insurance and air transportation industries. With GEICO, Mr. Crotty led business re-engineering efforts with large teams of business and IT staff incorporating strategic business alliances (for glass, rental, towing and material damage, etc) within GEICO's next generation of enterprise system solutions. These solutions were early adaptors to GPS, Web Solutions and leveraging relational database technologies.

He founded BSI in February 2001 and started R&D efforts on Cogent in 2004.

 

Denise Allmond

Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Denise Allmond is responsible for overseeing all aspects of company operations, as well as client and outsourced business partner extensions. In this role, Ms. Allmond ensures compliance to Cogent operating agreements, provides enterprise project management, and participates in the strategic planning and direction of the company.

Ms. Allmond has over 23 years of business and technical experience, providing enterprise project management, business management, and system/application development to Fortune 500 companies. She is a former Director of Data Communications and Director of Database Administration/R&D with GEICO Insurance Company, as well as Manager of Networking and Network Operating Systems, Manager of Enterprise Project Office, and Manager of Application Development with Fannie Mae Corporation.

Ms. Allmond has also managed a corporate Test Lab, implemented a corporate-wide rollout of NetWare 4.1, and designed, developed and maintained enterprise systems for marketing, financial and investment departments.

Ms. Allmond is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.

 

Steven J. Meyer

Senior Director, Business Systems Integration

Steven Meyer is Senior Director of Business Systems Integration and responsible for meeting the engineering needs of all other Cogent requirements. Mr. Meyer leads all aspects of the Cogent system deployment and implementation to ensure product accuracy and a timely launch.

Before joining Cogent, Mr. Meyer held positions as Vice President of Intel Operations with Deutsche Bank, Director of Information Systems Support with Creditrust Corporation, Department Manager of Network Services with Commercial Financial Services, and Software Engineer Supervisor with Electronic Data Systems (EDS).

Mr. Meyer has over 16 years of experience planning, developing and deploying financial and debt collection systems, and spent five years assisting large collection companies plan and accommodate for rapid infrastructure growth.

Mr. Meyer graduated from the Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in Management Science and Computer Systems.

 

John Yeilding

Vice President, Business Intelligence and Client Management

Mr. Yeilding has over 25 years of highly diversified experience in business planning, enterprise design and solution development, management of technologies, and enterprise project management. Mr. Yeilding's extensive experience in financial information solutions provides him the skill and experience in planning and designing financial driven systems. Mr. Yeilding's experiences include major consulting efforts with rigorous business planning and budget management. Prior experiences include management of numerous projects and expense budgets with technology complexities and large resource demands. Mr. Yeilding has developed integrated processes and reports to track interdependencies among projects, manage variances from schedule and budget, and highlight critical issues requiring management attention.

Mr. Yeilding has provided consulting services to several major organizations within the debt industry such as NCO Financial Group, Capital One, American Express, Commercial Financial Services and Creditrust. Engagements have included development and integration efforts for several debt solutions that are implemented and operational within these companies today. This creditability and intellectual capital is leveraged within BSI in design and acceptance of our product solutions.
